Between August 2021 and February 2022, I spent a lot of time in waiting rooms of all kinds of eye doctor offices, but mostly at the hospital, for treatment of my eye problems. So, you can see from where I got the inspiration to do this painting.
Acrylics and acrylic markers, 20 x 16, January 2022.
I love your style, Claudia.
Thank you. I enjoyed doing this one. It evolved as I went along. I really like depicting people.
i luv this ❤️
Thank you!
I’m in the eye doctor visitation club, Claudia, and this captures it perfectly!
Thank you. I’m sorry it speaks to personal experience, though. I’m hoping to make many fewer visits in 2022 all right and I hope the same for you. I did get lots of observations time in , though!
Haha hospital waiting rooms are a goldmine for inspiration!
I LOVE the fish tank!
Thank you. I remember a long time ago a doctor we had who had fish. I
Oops pressed send too early. Anyway that made an impression on me and here it appears now!
I spend a lot of time in waiting rooms too and immediately recognised this scene. I especially like the organized rows of waiting people and that fish tank in the corner. The people are just like the fish in the tank really.
Thank you. Yes, I thought the same thing, about the fish and people. How the two groups behave I think are very much the same- the stillness, then the darting, In and out, groups breaking and combining. Fascinating.
SO cool. Love the body language, the flow, everything! 👏♥️👏
I really love this one!
Thank you. I am a little surprised it turned out this cheerful, as my waiting room experiences recently have not been, but…maybe my intuition knew things my brain didn’t. I do enjoy depicting people no matter where they are.
That is an amazing piece. Sorry you had to spend so much time in waiting rooms.
Thank you. I certainly hope to stay out of them for a LONG time now, crossing fingers that things stay reasonably stable and I can do so!
