And here it is, in pen with a little bit of gouache to color it, in my 8″ x 8″ sketchbook. Sometimes there is a good scene right in front of your eyes to draw. From August 2021.
Just as I remember it. I was thinking about this the other day when we talked about dining rooms. I like how you use this as a sitting/telephone area and you actually use your dining room to eat in.
Yes, I hadn’t thought about it but I knew when we moved here I always wanted to eat in the dining room which is a nice size instead of crammed in the kitchen, but the kitchen spot is perfect for a chair and the right size for one person when you are along in the house, or, when you are cooking and want a rest!
We have a french press too, actually several of them because I pick them up at thrift stores whenever I find them in excellent condition. I guess people try them out and do not like them or get them as gifts (I’ve found several brand new ones) and donate them. I love your artistic interpretation of your kitchen – well done!
Thank you. I don’t drink much coffee but my husband can’t live without it and the French press has been perfect for him. I know people don’t seem to like them but they seem very practical and he likes the way it makes his coffee.
Yes, we used to have a coffeemaker and there was always too much. I hated throwing it out. I guess people get those Keurig type coffee makers but for home, well, it made no sense.

Perhaps paint the kitchen wall yellow like the painting?
Yes. My favorite color in so many ways. I think a yellow ktichen would be mood-lifting all the time.
Me too, too. Yellow is such a great shade.

Same here, I am a tea drinker and the french press makes the perfect amount for my partner or for a couple of guests.
