On Saturday, October 9, my husband and I visited the Allentown Art Museum to see a new exhibit and (for me) to participate in an art activity related to it. I wrote a post about it on my personal blog, Sometimes You Get So Confused.
The exhibit was beautiful and the art activity was a lot of fun. Want to know more? Go here and take a look at the post.
Oh great. I just checked it out and it looks like a fabulous exhibition. I love the simplicity found in much of Japanese traditional craft. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome. This musuem does a lot with paper and fabric (they just finished an exhibit on bedcovers and there was one in the past couple of years featuring origami, for instance) but I think this is one of their nicest exhibit. I plan to return to take another work. And there were quite a few pieces I really wish I could either make (or try to imitate, let’s say) or to have here at home. I could see these in a home very easily, whereas lots of art in exhibits – not so much.
Oh yes, I agree with you there.
