Title Transfers etc. – a drawing

Back in October 2020 I snapped a photo as we were driving from Bethlehem PA into Allentown PA. Then I did a drawing. That’s the whole story. Here are the twosome together and here they are individually for a better view.

Thank you. I do so love drawing the built environment. Drawing landscapes, not for me, but buildings, there is so much detail to them, I love capturing it.

Thank you. Allentown PA is a small city but has definite layers of neighborhoods and housing/building stock that clearly show the city as it developed by the styles. In about 50 blocks you can go from late 1800’s to the 1970’s (further out and you are out of the city into the suburbs). So it’s a compact place for me to see so many scenes I would like to depict,. I like this style of building as it is very typical – business premises on the bottom floor and apartments upstairs.

Thank you. I really like drawing this kind of scene (I like buildings and cities) and I try to catch the details that might be missed in the photo.

I love this! I live in Las Vegas, and I think it would be amazing to do drawings of downtown and the Strip in this free-hand form. Maybe when it cools off I will!
