A while back I wrote a post about some artwork I did inspired by a book: Drawing Lab for Mixed-Media Artists: 52 Creative Exercises to Make Drawing Fun, by Carla Sonheim. (Look here for that post.) It’s turned into an ongoing series. I’ve been very inspired by the same subject – the cracks in the sidewalks under my feet.
Search this blog under the term “sidewalk art” to find earlier posts in the series.
My method is to take one photo and rotate it through a circle – that way I can do four drawings from one photo. Here is the source photo for the drawings done on 6/9/20:
and here are the drawings.
that’s a very cool concept
It’s fun to do, and easy to find sidewalks with cracks to inspire you. I have been doing these fora while since as you can see this is #20 post on the subject. It’s relaxing.
Love this ! You are so creative.
Thank you. This is easy and fun to do and you can take the drawing anywhere your imagination will go, and also, they can be inspirations for other works, too. And…there are plenty of cracked sidewalks around but you can also use other things, I have done patterns in stone walls, for instance.
Great fun as always and I bet I am predictable in telling you that I love the cats the most.
I like that baby peeking out from under the blanket. (K)
I really loves these Claudia. Louise

Thank you. It’s fun. Relaxing.
Love these!
Well, you know I’m going to say these are fun! And kind of addictive.
