Here is a small fabric piece made in August, 2020. It is about 6″ x 6″.

Just for fun, here is a photo of the back of the piece. You can see the stitching and you can also see where in my careless haste to keep moving along I sewed scraps of fabric to the back. No idea I did that until I looked, later.

This piece is delightful. I love the combinations of patterns and textures and form. That bird is charming.
Fabric is a whole other artistic universe!
Actually-I love the fabric on the back sewed accidentally!
It has a look to it. I can see that. Serendipity, I guess. A hidden surprise.
I like both sides too.
It’s hard for me to take the back seriously, to be honest, but it is interesting, and gives me the idea of doing more things like the recent postcard where I scattered fabric and rearranged it just a little.
I love this piece (well the front – ha!) and I got a kick out you showing us the back!
I was taught in sewing clothes and in knitting that the inside or reverse must be finished as nice as the outside. This is not quite the same thing, but having something extra on the back, well, it is a bonus!
Awesome! This inspires me so much! A whole new medium I could totally get into!
Before I did collage and painting, I got my start in making and selling art in quilting, first of all, and then making fabric wall hangings. I have not done any fabric work for about 20 years but have recently decided to do some again. I’m liking it.
The similarities of the mediums are very interesting!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
Pleasure. Happy Wednesday.
