ATC Advice is my own category for this kind of ATC card. Simple to make. Make an ATC. Put a phrase cut from print on it. Pick the phrase at random; do not try to match it to the card.
Read the words, look at the picture, and see what you get from the juxtaposition.
You may be surprised. The ATC Advice method quite often offers something astute or insightful or maybe just head-scratching.
Dark! (K)
This little card was all random – the painted background, the guy (a prototype for another project, so he wasn’t meant to be permanent) and then the words. I love the combinations that come up this way and what they lead to as far as interpretations.
Ever changing.
I cannot decide whether he is reflecting on his life being on the other side of the dark abyss or whether his life is about to lead him into dark oblivion. That might be a projection from my own state of mind right now though. Ha ha!
I know what you mean. I think we are all sailing into uncharted waters that are going to be stormy for a while. I am hoping if he is looking into the trouble, he has the strength to get through, and if he has passed through it, the strength to rebuild.
I like that you are not trying to deliberately match the words with the image!
The funny thing is I think the random choices fit the pictures much better than what I would have tried to figure out. Pretty much every time. Go figure. That’s one thing I really like about doing these, the element of chance that again and again leads me somewhere unforeseen and often thought-provoking.
