The photo that asks the question: Can a mature lady sitting in a booth in a chain restaurant become noir just by … sitting? And what’s more, can she actually be any good at it? Will anything change in our turning world as the days of our lives collide with those with another life to live?
And what’s more more, who writes this stuff, anyway?
Yes, it’s me. At least that part is real and true.
I like it!
Thank you. I am a fan of noir movies in particular, I like not only the stories but also the way the filming (so many of them are BW) plays up the contrasts of the shades of black, white, and gray that exist in the story.
True. Hmmm, there are also shades within those three colours.
Yes, it is an infinity, inside a limited universe. Interesting to think about.
Well now, that’s a good intro for a noir soap opera. (K)
oOps, I got my noirs mixed up. I forgot today was my turn to be noir. I wonder what I could do next to keep the noir going…I am put in mind of my husband’s favorite movie, Sudden Fear. I reccommend it heartily. Anyway, there is a lot of black and white contrasts in it that are intriguing to look at (the movie is filmed in BW) and fit the story.
Greys cake gives things an other-worldly feel I think.
Greyscale …why did the computer change it to cake? Who ever heard of grey cake?
I haven’t but it sounds like a Little Vine type of menu item all right.
It does! I will wait for its appearance…
