I drew these little faces on the paint color squares of a paint brochure in February 2020. I then cut the brochure apart. Now I have a little collection of faces. I am sure they will show up somewhere in some new context in the future…

I love these faces.
Thank you. The paint brochures have a surface to the colors that the pen glides over, makes drawing these little faces fun.
I don’t have any paint brochures, but you have inspired me to draw faces with my ink pens.
Oh, that’s great! I hope you will post them for us to see. There is something about taking a few lines and suddenly…a person appears! isn’t there?
Yes. My sister, the author and illustrator of children’s books, would come to my class and help me teach emotions in characters in our writing. She would start with a face that demonstrated an emotion. Then changing a few lines on the face also would change the emotion. We would develop the story around our drawings.
This sounds like it was fun plus teaching observation and noticing details.
It is going to be fun spotting these in future works of art.
Thank you, I hope to work on them soon – I have a whole bag filled with them, plus other materials. Could be good TV time art.
