That Big Round Ball in the Sky

A sun or moon in the sky is a favorite recurring theme of mine. Here are postcards from March 2018 that show you some more examples of sun or moon (even I don’t always know which is which, or maybe, both at the same time?)

Thank you. I love to depict cities (my reference always being Philadelphia) because they are always lively no matter what time day or night.

Thank you, these were more of those add a little here and there as you go pieces, and they always come out nicely in the end, if I keep working, but you never know when the end will arrive! I do like these myself, if I say so!

Oh I love the paintings over printed words! Okay if I were to paint, that is what I would want to do. Awesome how you allow specific text to be visible.

Thank you. I like the layering of paint and print, and well, I just love print, so it reappears in as many ways as I can get it – don’t know why but it really adds something that pictures don’t as far as found papers in collage/mixed media.

Now I will be looking this up. Something new learned. I think the round ball in the sky idea is something that has been around as soon as a person could draw a circle, in art.

Circles are where I’m residing these days, so these are perfect. I like especially the geometric simplicity of the third one. (K)
