Sure you do. Back in April, 2018, that’s when you first saw them.
I could never make myself think they were quite finished. In June, 2018, I took them out and worked on them some more. I added acrylic inks, India ink, crayon, and some oil pastels, plus I wrote on them.
Now they are finished. Here they are:
And for fun, each with its previous self.
Itβs great to see the comparison and see what the ink adds in terms of visual interest and punch.
Yes, I felt the ogres had more to offer but did not seem to be getting it in paint, and then, I’ve been on this kind of cartoony kick recently and suddenly the ogres…spoke and sort of told me what to do!
Adorable.
Thank you. I like how they are now, what a relief, there is nothing like that nagging feeling of — something must be changed, but what???
Fascinating! You finished them for sure!
Thank you. I had such a nagging feeling the first time I “finished” them and that always means, they are not done. I am glad I did this, one quick crazy couple of hours or less and the baby ogres can out into life in so much more confidence!
Love the additions and the words! They are perfect for each picture. “You don’t have to talk if you don’t want to” is brilliant! I can relate to that ogre baby. π€
Thank you. I’m into this free-form speech thing these days. I just put down whatever comes to mind (as long as it will fit). Very relaxing to express myself in this ever-so-subtle way! Because everyone thinks it’s the Ogre baby talking but hmmmm… who told him what to say?
Yes, who indeed.πππ
